NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he is disappointed in the quality of last week's Pro Bowl and changes must be considered, perhaps even dropping the game altogether. No more hot seat for Tom Coughlin. No more second-guessing. The 65-year-old Coughlin made NFL history on Sunday, becoming the oldest coach to win a Super Bowl by guiding the Giants to a 21-17 victory over New England for his second NFL championship in four years. (Mon, 06 Feb 2012 01:22:34 PST)
The New England Patriots' three star receivers couldn't make the big plays when they needed them. Neither could their superstar quarterback. There was plenty of blame to go around in the Patriots' second Super Bowl loss in four years, both to the New York Giants. "We had opportunities to put this team away and we didn't," wide receiver Deion Branch said after Sunday...

"It's for Miss Myra," receiver Deion Branch said after the Giants beat the Patriots 21-17 in the Super Bowl on Sunday night, "and we feel like we didn't get the job done." Kraft's beloved wife,...

Hundreds of officers who lined the streets of Boston had little to do as fans quietly mourned their team's Super Bowl loss Sunday night, but 14 people were arrested across the state at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst when police in riot gear dispersed a rambunctious crowd. "We're really sad right now," said Molly Mackenzie of Boston, who was watching at a bar near Fenway...

Woodhead plays big in Super Bowl defeat
(Sun, 05 Feb 2012 21:36:29 PST)
For a moment, no one was bigger than 5-foot-8 Danny Woodhead. The New England running back's 4-yard touchdown reception in the final minute of the first half gave the New England Patriots a 10-9 halftime lead in the Super Bowl. "I was able to get open, and Tom (Brady) did a good job of putting the ball right on me," he said.
